Wellbeing Isn’t Just About Work: Why Everyday Habits Matter When Life Gets Complicated

Over the past year, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on workplace wellbeing and where organisations can create the greatest impact.

One thing has become increasingly clear:

People don’t leave their lives at the door when they start work.

Behind every employee is a whole person — with their own experiences, challenges, responsibilities and circumstances.

At different stages of life, many of us will experience moments that affect how we feel, how we cope and how we show up each day.

It might be:

The loss of someone we love.

Supporting a family member through illness.

Managing our own health challenges.

Financial pressures.

Caring responsibilities.

Addiction.

Major life changes.

These experiences are part of being human, but they can have a very real impact on people in the workplace.

This is why I believe workplace wellbeing needs to move beyond one-off initiatives and become part of everyday working life.

A workshop, wellbeing campaign or awareness day can create valuable conversations and provide important support, but lasting change comes from the small things people can continue to practise every day.

Taking time to pause.

Reflecting on what matters.

Creating space for self-care.

Recognising when we need support.

Celebrating progress and small wins.

These simple habits can help people build greater awareness, resilience and the ability to navigate life’s challenges.

At mojo&co, this belief shapes everything we create.

We work with organisations to design bespoke, coaching-led wellbeing solutions that are practical, personal and designed around their people, culture and wellbeing goals.

From customised wellbeing journals and practical tools to workshops and employee experiences, our aim is to help organisations create meaningful wellbeing support that continues long after an initiative ends.

Because wellbeing isn’t just something we should focus on when things become difficult.

It’s something we can build into everyday life, helping people feel better equipped for both the good times and the challenging ones.

Simple habits. Practical tools. Lasting impact.
